Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Accurate coding, entry and payment of vendor invoices, expenditures and employee expenses 
  • Complete statement reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  • Checks and ensures all invoices are approved for payment
  • Put cheques/EFT together, prepare for mailing and file paid items
  • Payroll - Prepare bi-weekly payroll for processing
  • Ensure the payroll run is complete and accurate in terms of employees hours, changes, approvals, overtime, taxable benefits, deductions, and in accordance with company policies and procedures and legislative requirements
  • Journal entry creation and import to Accounting system 
  • Month-end Accounts Payable reports and accruals
  • Respond to queries from our internal and external clients in a timely and professional manner
  • Support the Accounting team and various internal clients as directed
  • Data entry 
  • Special projects as assigned. 
  • Other financial duties as required 

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

  • 1+ years of previous experience in a related position.
  • Post secondary education in Accounting
  • Basic understanding of Sage accounting system
  • Demonstrate ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures and financial records including journal entries and accruals. 
  • Experience in gathering data, compiling the proper information, and preparing financial reports. 
  • Advanced proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet programs. 
  • Effective attention to detail and effective in meeting deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assist Project Manager with the successful full cycle of assigned projects; from initiation to completion, including receipt of payment
  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate and uploaded into internal and external claims systems
  • Assist Project Manager with customer communication and interactions
  • Ensure work authorization, completion certificates and all other required documents are obtained from client
  • Ensure work order tasks and purchase orders are completed and uploaded in a timely manner
  • Invoicing is completed accurately in line with client protocols
  • Support and manage outstanding receivables

Qualifications

  • Must have 2-5 experience in an administrative role
  • Post-secondary education and/or administrative training is an asset
  • Advanced skills with MS Office  (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Internet Browsers.
  • Knowledge of Xactimate software is an asset

  • Maintain inventory of material used on job sites
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the project.

  • Wraps furniture with blankets to prevent damage.

  • Finish carpentry – casing, baseboards, cabinetry, closet shelving, doors, windows
  • Rough carpentry – framing, stairs, board ups and temporary
  • Minor drywall repairs (i.e. patch) to paint-ready stage

Duties and Responsibilities:
